I'm a newcomer to the board, fished greenwood today from 10 till 1, tried to troll up a musky on the north end, lots of fish suspended down 25 ft over deep water, any idea what's down at the level? Decent marks stacked below bait balls 10 to 20ft deep. Got pretty rough by 1, no action for me. Temp was 65 degrees on the surface. Hope to hit merill creek soon for c/r lakers.

GWL often has good schools of Crappies suspending. Drop shot em when you find em. Could of also been herring balls with any of the lake's usual suspects chasing from under neath.

usually crappie or eyes in those depths, but the eyes usually relate to the bottom and rocks seem to be the key to holding them. dropshotting gulp leeches is great up there, as are jigs and binskys, and herring if you can get them. Trolling is the way to go otherwise jig em up

Trolling is a good way to go in the fall if you keep fishing those bait balls and see arcs around them walleyes will suspend and eat up on baitfish it will pay off fishing them
