I guess I won't be fishing my favorite spot at Spruce Run for a while.

WoW.

Looks like everything is going dry. What am I going to do for carp now.

That's dry. Really dry. Tough luck but thanks for an update.

Have you tried the little reservoir down by Hamden Rd where the water processing plant is? Good spot for carp and some bass

Yeah, it's bad. I was at the Spruce Saturday night. It was actually kind of fun driving around on the "beach" that used to be under water. The strangest thing was seeing dozens of freshwater mussels detecting that they were about to be exposed and "walking" to deeper water.

I swear, if the water company lets anymore water out, we will be able to scoop the fish up in buckets.

That's the area we held the ice meet and greet last winter, insane!

This is low but not really out of the ordinary for this time of year for Spruce. They are really releasing at a high level over the last week but I took a look back and it was drawn down to about this same level in 2010 and 2012. Don't know exactly why but they seem to do this every once in a while. The additional 3 feet makes a big difference but it has been really dry this year....15 inches behind normal rainfall YTD at the Spruce Run Gauge.

Here is the info:
Historical levels: Full Pool is Approximately 273
Sep, 2010 - 258.11
Oct, 2012 - 258.69
Sept, 2014 - 255.77

This weeks Releases:
Date - Million Gallons Released
9/29/2014 -142
9/28/2014 -121
9/27/2014 -121
9/26/2014 -121
9/25/2014 -128
9/24/2014 -114
9/23/2014 -124

They are killing us there! I find the fishing better now but to much work to go out in the dark or come back in the dark.

At least the sunken island is finally above water now. Almost hit it a week and a half ago when it was still a foot under, luckily I was slow trolling instead of going full speed.

I heard from the park employees that they're making dam repairs now.
Don't expect the water levels to be raised any time soon.
