Blue-headed Pike...

Caught a 24" pike tonight that had more blue than usual on its head. Thought it looked kind of cool.

Not much daylight left these days. Got out for about an hour getting two 20's pike and a really nice 18" bass. Only had phone camera and that bass was having none of that.

Apparently anglers are now carrying saws with them. I saw several branches sawed off a tree that was blocking a good chunk of the river.

Great looking fish with amazing color !!! Great catch ! I remember in the past years on the river that a bunch of duck hunters came through cutting a bunch of trees and branches to make room for shooting and boats. I am not sure if the area you are talking about gets any hunting pressure, but the river will have a few more "guests" in the next few months, without fishing poles.
