Shout out to KikofishnFool he told me about this forum and I finally got around to getting on here!

These are the bigger smallies I caught between Sunday August 17-August 30th all on the same 1/4 ounce Ike's Berkley gripper jig and a Berkley Fight'n Bug trailer. River smallies are the best! The smaller one actually spit up a small sunfish when I was landing it.

Best part was releasing them and hoping to catch them again even bigger!

Very nice. They all look like over 4+ pounders. The first one looks like a 5 lb smallie. What a beautiful fish !!!

All nice fish!!! River smallies are w/ out a doubt are the best they use everything to their advantage to pop the hook, wrap u around anything and everything and can break off light line with a run into heavy current. luv em

You hit the nail on the head. I had one hit so hard when I set the hook I thought I drilled it good but it kept shaking its head like it was possessed and about 10 feet in front of me it spit the jig out and the jig came flying at me.
