Sometimes there are so many of them in that spot you can't even float passed. Heard the cops came down on them pretty hard a couple weeks ago. That's probably why the cement slabs are there. But it obviously didn't work lol. The amount of garbage that gets left behind there is sickening. From dirty diapers to endless amounts of beer bottles and food wrappers. It's a shame

What can you do?
American companies want to compete with third-world labor, so they imported the third-world here.

The parties wouldn't be that much of an issue if they would just pick up their own garbage, instead of spitefully dumping all their trash where they're standing.

(A seasonal park employee told me that if Corona ever made a biodegradable bottle, he would be out of a job! :D )

NJ was my home for the first 37 years of my life... When I go back there, I no longer recognize it... bob

ugh... sad that's happening where i grew up.
the swimmers and concrete blocks remind me of a north jersey reservoir a few years back. hopefully the local PDs will find a way to get down there and do some enforcement of the litter laws at least.

Just the idea of wading in that water without hip boots grosses me out.

Just the idea of wading in that water without hip boots grosses me out.I did it for about 15 years growing up. I now seem to be immune to most common sicknesses. :D

Unfortunately I came to this realization when I saw a bunch of these guys with a stringer of stuff from the Passaic river. As dirty as some water here may or may not be, it's probably drinking water wherever they're from

Pollution sucks!! Especially 4 us fisherman! Being a racist chump is just as bad though. The fact that they were "imported" here or not, has no relevance to their biological etiquette, or lack thereof. So color, ethnicity, religion, etc., doesn't make someone dirty or ugly, but polluting anything with no cares....or being racist, definitly will. So please, lets clean up or shut up!! Sorry 4 redirection of thread Andy. Fellaz, if it don't apply, let it fly. Get swole if u want!! You can fish...@ my spot!!!!;);)

Well said Luciano, well said!!! People enjoying natural resources is fine. Mother Nature made it to be enjoyed. Let's see if we can get the people that enjoy the river to clean up afte themselves. It's a challenge but can be done. I fish some unpopular rocks on weekends on the BIG D. My friends, Latinos from Toms river, are there every weekend, camping and having a good time. Fishing, swimming, tequila, corona, they clean up after themselves every time. They, my new found friends as of 4 years ago, appreciate the river and what it gives them. They enjoy what they catch from the river, I know, I've shared the catch with them. One guy goes as far as to weedwack the trail when it gets too overgrown, his wife then gets out her broom and sweeps up the mess and black bags it. There are problems when it comes to pollution with all races and religions. All we can really do is befriend these people and try to show them how important our natural resources are. Keeping it clean is most important. Don't point fingers, be a guiding light instead. People learn something new everyday, some just need more guidance than others.

TIGHT LINEZ!!!!! KEEP IT CLEAN!!!!:D

Thanks for speaking up Luciano and Eddie! I think it's great that people are enjoying the outdoors like these folks but if they leave a mess then that's definitely a problem. But like Eddie said, maybe they just don't realize the impact of what they're doing, maybe they just need to be told, who knows. It's better that they're outside being a little active instead of vegetating on a couch at home watching reality TV. We don't need any more of that in this world..
