Hi everyone, I am new to the message board so I figured I would post a few photos from this weekend. Went out Saturday and Sunday and both days started the same with catching a few bass until I started throwing big spinners. Had pretty good luck with the Mepps Black Fury and Musky Killer and we ended up getting a few decent pike. The lightly colored pike with red fins was caught by me but it chewed up my hand pretty good when it slipped out from under its jaw so pops took a picture with it instead.

Good first post. Bleeding fingers/hand is a rite of passage for pike lovers. Good idea to keep alcohol pads on hand in case you get tagged. It will sting but thats good for you. Passaic water + open wound is a good recipe for infection :D

I was doing the same thing yesterday afternoon in a diff area. Had 6 or 7 up to 30-32" or so all on big spinnerbaits. Also had 2 jumbo yellow perch and a slab crappie crush the sb too. Never would have thought they'd be able to get their mouths around the hook of a 9/16 oz spinnerbait. Water was low and clear for the passaic... TONS of carp where I was fishing. Would've been a bow fisherman's dream.

They really have been feeding aggressively, funny thing was that they seemed to come willingly. Not much of a fight from any of the fish caught. Ended up being more efficient for us - no lost fish or lures.

I was out for a bit last night in the kayaks with my girl trying to get her first Pike. Right at sunset, I was no more than 5ft from her when I saw a Pike come up for her crankbait, gently chomp it, not put up a fight, and I scooped it into the net within literally 10-15 seconds. Very weird, but happy the fish didn't go ballistic on her lol.

Nice fish guys! Loosing a pint of blood or two to a feisty pike is all worth it!!!!!
