Assunpink Sat 9-Aug

Arrived before sun up and started with a popper and BAM...BAM...BAM 3 LMB going 3 lbs, ~ 2 lbs, and 1lbs. Sun up and switched to a spinner and got two more @~1LBs each. The back of the pond is choked with weeds, but holding fish as I nailed 3 more from 10 inches to 15 inches.

Switched to a jig around 9 am and caught perhaps the biggest yellow perch I have ever seen. Found a pile of crappie as well and reeled in the whole school. Fished a few main lake points and had action of every cast with the white perch...must have landed 50 with the biggest being 11 inches. A few bass in the mix and landed another LMB @ 1 LB amongst the perch. Managed to avoid the fresh water bluefish as I only caught 1 big one and had only 1 bite-off.

Off the pond by noon and had a great day on the water.

Pretty good stuff ! Did you take a look at Rising Sun and Stone Tavern also ?

Twice I fished the triple overload in the fall. Started at Assunpink, launched at Davidson Mills pond, and the finished at Farrington in the evening. Caught fish at all three places:cool: Fishing the pads at Farrington is one of my favorite spots.
Farthest pond first, ending close to home!

Are you speaking of the pads at church lane at farrington or just in general? Had some explosions last week in the morning but couldnt set the hook. Like assumpink too, usually stay around the island by the launch but havent had much luck. Any tipa on either?
