A couple big girls

[Skunk City]

Got out in a couple spots this week with the yak. Not a crazy bite, but got two big girls to chomp. Didn't have much luck with the usual spinnerbaits and Rapalas, so I dusted off an old favorite of mine and it paid off. First fish was a healthy 37" that took me for a sleigh ride. Not quite a personal best, but in my top 3. Managed to slice my finger up pretty badly on her, lots of blood, a quick cleaning, then back on the water. Not as bad as LivItUp's ordeal, so I can't complain! Sorry for the blurry background, but within 5 minutes of this fish, I had no less than 6 other people trying to fish this hole! Muggers!

Got out again this morning/afternoon after the rains for some chocolate milk Piking. Again, no love on the usual lures, so on went my trusty crankbait. Managed 2 fish, one around 30" and another big girl measured at 35". No action after that, so I called it a day. Got the next week off of work, stay tuned for some hopefully good reports!

Nice going Skunk !!! I think I saw you on the river on Thursday afternoon as I was driving by and saw a couple other yakers with you.

A not so great couple of hours on the river this morning for me. A few landed and a quite a few missed. Nothing over 32". I did get one about 6 inches and tried getting a picture. When I have a chance, I will post that "monster" !!!

I hooked into one from the shore as 3 cars of people were walking up last week. Haven't had a bite there since and the walkable shoreline was literally LITTERED with C&C soda bottles, lure boxes, and assorted beer bottles...

There's no SKUNKS in SKUNKS life. Some quality fish right there. Nice ones brotha from anotha! With this cooler weather pattern these fish will be catchable from now til December. YEA BUDDY!!!!:D
