It may sound crazy but August is here and the bass are still biting for those who know where to look.

Capt Sal, Capt Hans, and Mark Leili managed to pile up theses bass in just 1.5 hours on 8/1 before going fluking.

When we switched over to fluke I kept two nice 20'' fish for myself. They were great with a nice fresh Jersey tomato! I heard sea bass were edible also lol:)

Nice August slam.
Heard a lot about this capt. Good and bad but everyone has there own opinion.

there should be a slot size limit, so people dont kill all the breeders

When you are a charter boat capt. you have customers coming from all over. To tell them they can not keep the fish they catch does not work. Not just the giant fish are breeders. I encourage letting the big ones go and take a picture. We also have a policy this year of no bonus tags! I am all for conservation and have only taken a few fish for the farmer who lets me hunt on his land. I do a lot of bass fishing with Al Ristori and we keep none!

Maybe in the future I will let my son Capt Jamey and my mate Mark book open boat trips. At my age at this time I do not need the pressure. It is hard to teach an old dog new tricks lol

Captain Sal, If you can't find your mason hammer to straighten them all out, I'll loan you one of mine. I'll even hold them for you! LMAO Anyway, that's a great striper catch only an experience fisherman can put together in August. When it comes to striper fishing, my money is always on you. You're a diamond that can be rough around the edges. But knowing you personally, you have a big, big heart. And you're for real. See you soon. -Cuz- Funny Pharm - A.H., N.J.

Changes are coming. Don't be shocked at 1 fish at 28-32" for next year.

Stop putting it out there about what you think it may be. Put a idea in their heads & they will say this is what the fishing community will accept so lets just do it. I say keep it the same there's no proof that downsizing what you keep will make things better. Example we used to be able to keep 10 Blackfish a year round they went to the new regulations over the years & did it get any better? Fluke, Sea Bass & everything else as well none of them got better either. Stop dredging & destroying bottom structure where the fish are supposed to live. They talk about reduction what about rebuilding what they destroyed & rebuild the reefs. You wont see that on their table that's for sure. It's all one sided we need more reefs reef balls & habitat for the fish. They just want one thing to stop us altogether from fishing. They are a bunch of capitalists that's destroying this great country we live in.
