This what I call the bobber tree located at a Morris County township park. Apparently people think they can cast right thru a tree. That or its training ground for the kiddies. Whomever is to blame its an eyesore. My guess is the solution will be cut down the tree. My solution would be less impactful: step 10 feet to your right or left and then cast

Anyone looking for a bobber can find 15 there.

Also came across golf ball depository This was downstream of a golf course. For some odd reason it was the only spot I saw them.

I think mankind has some learning to do it regards to how to treat nature. Ever here of the expression "Take only memories. Leave nothing but footprints" Guess not. We leave bobbers, golfballs and as Andy knows very well - tires.

I think that every accessible place open to foot fishermen has a Bobber Tree.
It is what it is.
Indiscriminate casting of a baited bobber anywhere near a tree will create this phenomenon

Bobber tree is a great post!

Too funny.

I've noticed that on some lakes, bobber trees are being replaced by soft-plastic lure trees. Some trees are sporting an interesting assortment of plastic worms, lizards, and crawdads.
