Good day yesterday just tossing PM spinners around upper Passaic between 9 and 2. Lots of laydowns and snags to work around which meant plenty of fish but three lost spinners as well. Final tally was as follows:
Redbreast Sunfish: 62 up to 6"
Black Crappie: 7 up to 11"
LMB: 4 up to 15"
Bluegill: 2 up to 7"
Pike: 2 up to 32"
Redfin Pickerel : 2 up to 9"
Fallfish: one 8"
Good #'s day but few game fish. Only 3 quality fish in 5 hours. Water was fairly clear(wow!) but with red tinge to it like tannin stained, swamp waters you see in the Pine Barrens. Shallow as well with few deep holes. If you love snag infested waters, this is your cup of tea. This is walk-in only territory as you can see in the pics its not kayaking water given hundreds of trees blocking it and water only inches deep in spots. Lots of thorn bushes, poison ivy, stinging nettle and -oh yes- mosquitoes. My kind of place!
