Hey, i just wanted to post about my weekend of fishing. Friday i hit up Spring lake in Hamilton and caught a small bass on a shiner. That lake has so many weeds it is not enjoyable to fish. I did see a big bowfin which was cool. I ran over to lake mercer after that for an hour and worked hard to catch 2 nice spawning largies up to 2 1/2 lbs on shiners. I love fishing for spawning bass, sight fishing gets me going...over the weekend, i was in Glen Spey, Ny for a retreat with Young Life, the Christian mission i work for, and they have a lake called Lake Champion, which is loaded with fish. I caught 15 lmbs and 30 slime darts, mostly on top water zara spooks, which is my favorite way to fish! Nothing over 2 1/2lbs. The best part was taking some friends fishing and seeing them catch their fist lmb ever!
