Set up on the East side today in about 70 or 80 FOW and the lake trout came. I lost count in the end. Got a new PB at 25" around 6 or so pounds.
Had to make a move to get away from them, so went in towards shore a bit and quickly got a skinny 21" brown trout followed by a plump 17" brown trout and another skinny 21" brown trout. One of the browns cleared the air when I hooked it and actually did a back flip in mid air. Got a few more lake trout also. Funny, all those lake trout in there and I don't think anyone even fishes for them.
Hanging out when things were slow chumming livies and watching the boils around the boat, looked like someone flushing a toilet. Toss a herring at them with a hook in it and they ignored it, damn those big brown trout are smart !
Got another jaw tag today, if I keep this up I'll have enough to make a bracelet soon.
Guy was there with the jerking machine again today and he split early, around 10am, I fished till noon. About 7 trailers in the lot when I left. At it again tomorrow weather permitting.

I always think of that when I get a run off and it goes under the boat. The fish has gone under the boat ! Ahh a big fish, a smart fish !! I'm at double anchor so it's nothing short of a disaster when the fish goes under the boat !

I know really bad weather can be a bit dangerous at times, but that place fishes best with cloud cover and RAIN....If there are no thunder/lightning storms in the forcast, DONT and i repeat , DONT let the rain stop you....The best days on that lake are the worst tanning days:D

As always , gr8 job el capyton
