Hit a couple of Pocono privately-owned reservoirs open to the public but with no boats OR wading allowed. Not easy fishing a reservoir from shore especially when its got trees and bushes right to the edge. I can't really complain though since the rules in place do help maintain good fisheries. Got a good variety of fish getting Crappie(8); Yellow Perch(6); Rock(2), Smallmouth(1) and Largemouth Bass(34); Pumpkinseed(11) and Bluegill Sunfish(21) and a few Chain Pickerel(3). One of the Crappies was huge - coming in around 15" and thick. All fish on the greatest fish catcher of all-time - Panther Martin(1/32 oz gold)

.
Looks like a beautiful location.
One of the best things about fishing is the beautiful places it takes us.

Yes if only those who fish there didn't mess them up. The reservoir owners kindly opened them up to the public and the public thanks them by littering all over the damn place. Styrofoam cups, lure packages, beer cans(alcohol isn't allowed but this is Pa where u get your first beer at age 5), etc. Since wading isn't allowed, people are cutting down bushes and even trees to create openings. It really is a shame because they are beautiful spots.
I ♥ the no watercraft rules. You can fish all day and never be bothered by anybody paddling by either fishing near you or spooking fish. To me that rule alone is worth the hr and 1/2 drive :D
