Fishing shiners on size No. 2 hook, 6# test mono, ended up catching a 35", 11 lb 4 oz tiger musky. Also got half a dozen 12 - 14" large mouth.

Awesome catch on the light tackle. Great job dude! They have to be the prettiest fish swimming in NJ waters. GOOD STUFF!!!

That's a true strain musky, not a tiger. Nice catch and nice job on the release.

Thanks for the correction, apparently they look very similar (except pointy vs rounded tail).

No worries. They can have very distinct markings that make them look a lot like a tiger. Pretty fish you had. Congrats again.
