Had the chance to get out with my good buddy ScowardNJ in his newly purchased boat last night (appropriately named "The Mugger"). Launched around 5pm and being it was the boat's maiden voyage with Scott as the owner, we had a few issues to work out before we were on our way. Started off trolling and within 5 minutes we had our first catch, a small Pickerel. Trolled around until dusk and landed 3 Pickerel in total. Scott made a blood sacrifice courtesy of a feisty Pickerel and that was all the fish gods needed. After the sun went down, the big boys came out to party. First up was a bruiser 25", 8lb+ Hybrid that kicked my ass all over the lake. After that, we managed 6 Walleye all together, biggest being a fat 25.5" female. 3 or 4 were in the 23"-24" but all fish were keeper sized . Scott added a nice slab Crappie and the mandatory Bullhead Catfish for variety. All fish CPR'd, off the water by 1am, up at 6am for work! Tired as hell but ready to get back out there.

All fish caught on either stickbaits or live herring. And no full moons because there was literally NOBODY else out there fishing! We had the place to ourselves.

Glad to see you had a great night guys and sorry about that drain plug I may have left lose after the winter storage. I'm glad it didn't come all the way out when we tested it on the river. The Big D was running real high that night.

I thought we were going to set the lake on fire, literally, when we started her up. Looked like the Gulf oil spill :p. Screwdriver and a piece of gum and we were back in business. Everything went well after that. Its a great boat.

All good Flatcreek, it ended up being a very small bug to work out. Better it happened on a lake then that day on the D, even though I had total confidence in your homemade grappling anchor. That thing would hold a cruise ship below the Niagara Falls! haha
