hit a lake after work as i had to burn off some steam. caught a largemouth catfish right away, some bluegills, then beat up some perch all while soaking tarpon baits. water was cold & high but after the sun went down got my first tarpon & right after i released him i got smoked on my ul on a nightcrawler brought it in & landed another tarponesque specie. had another runoff & the landed a brown bullhead. highlight of the night was seeing a philly walrus(beaver) come cruising by, i thought it was a muskrat but it seemed way to big,had a beaverish tail & was dragging 1/2 a tree back to the other end of the lake! pics below all fish caught on corn or crawler

Nice ones. That looks like a carp / wild goldfish hybrid.

Looks like a nj breed of carp... Trick is to stick your finger in her mouth... If she sucks she's a carp and if she punches you in the eye it's a big shiner...

This looks like a beautiful crucian carp. How big was it?

I had a beaver encounter the other day in Harriman, the beaver came within 5' of me multiple times just checking me out. Cool stuff. Here's one of the better shots I got of him-

thanks for the info on the carp, picture does not do it justice it was wider & different color then carp i am used to catching maybe it was just a juvenile i dunno lol As far as the Philly Walrus I thougt it was a muskrat but the tail looked like a beaver to me & it was way to big unless his muskrat was using PED's. I shoulda stayed later as the bite was geting good but i sawa few questionable folks wandering around & I didn't have my gun lol
