Wicked Philly Tuna!(tarpon)

took jen out this afternoon on a quest to get her first philly tarpon. got set up caught some bluegills & crappie then a lil oover an hour into the trip a 7foot rod goes into the water. I j got jen onto the beast & she fought him for about 15 minutes before she asked to trade the fight for picture taking. landed the carp & got some pics. no idea the weight but it was bigger than the 1 i got last week & fought it for 25 minutes. caught some more crappie,bluegill,1 perch & 1 bass but no more carp. 1 for 1 again but it was a monster

LOL, great report!!! Nice day to be out catching. The crappie and gill look quite delicious. Nice size and color on that PHILLY TARPON. I call them RAHWAY RIVER STEELHEAD up here in central NJ. The GREEN CARP, LM, is the most unappealing fish in this fine post. BLEH!!!!! Nice day dude!!!!!:D

thanks gents. was 1st time jen got to hear drag screaming & watch a 7foot rod get yanked into a pond lol she said it was like wicked tuna when she had to tag out during the fight lol i told her she needs some more practice! those green carp & striped catfish certainly do make people crazy i refer to them as ba$$holes. i do not understand peoples hate for philly tarpons nothing around here that big,powerful & smart except muskies
