Even though our float trip got blown out Wilson and I headed up to Trout Town USA. We met at the Roscoe diner for some good eats Friday morning then headed down the Beaverkilll. It was tough nut to crack, water was very high but clear. Worked our way down the river and one pool was choked with trout, I guess the hatchery truck had just pulled away. Worked our way down and got an early steak dinner at Lidia’s. Wilson went back to the room for some single malt and I went over to Deposit to do a few throws on the West Branch, nothing.
Saturday with the water so high we went over to the Willow, again a tough nut, few fish. Wilson split for home and I went back down the Beaverkill and fished a bit on the lower East Branch, again high and very, very cold water, only a few fish.
Came home along the Big D. Every trib is full of water up in NY, water everywhere. It is still very much winter up there, snow on the ground when we got up there Friday.

A float trip can get blown out? I ask cause I really don't know.

Fishing on a Friday......I love to see how the other half lives.....:p

Hit the Neversink on the way home and found a slight problem with my fishing hole.

Great looking fish and great looking water. Sounds like fun! Love the pics! I would think that water is still in the 30's. Cold, but you still managed to catch. Nice report! YEA BUDDY!!!:D

Good job. Just shows you can catch, even with bad conditions.

Nice thought and yes it looks a bit like a tiger, but its not...:(Alot of the stockies that come out of the rome,ny hatchery have that look...If you fish up there enough, it not that uncommon...Btw NJ's future brown trout egg supply is supposedly commoing from that very same hactchery.....So with all hope, in future yrs to come, our browns will look really nice too:) Gr8 catch nevertheless
