Decided to hit the Big D and try for some Shad today while the run is still going. Fished near the Lambertville Bridge, closer to the New Hope side by boat. About 8 boats out there today and everyone was hooking up. Flutter spoons were the go to lure today. Water temp was 54. Lots of shad running right now. All fish were released to finish what they came here to do.

Looks like heat treated stainless! Theyre a bad-ass looking fish--that's for sure. Good stuff... Shad city!

Was Capt Dieter in the sweet spot today? Been seeing him below the wing dam lately.

Think my brother might have been out there in a 18 ft g3 with a yamaha jet.......if you saw him......did he catch any?......This will eliminate any fish stories;)

Nice fish man. I was upstream from there doing my thing off the beach. Action wasn't non stop but I still got my fix. Landed 5 out of 12 on my first trip since last year. Good catch! IT'S GO TIME!!!!

Good stuff!
the boats have been more & more plentiful around town. I've seen a fair amount working the water just below the wing dam but today lots were by the free bridge.

That's a great shot of a Shad. I love the iridescent glare.

I'm looking to head out tomorrow am for some action. I usually wait till they hit the gap, and am unfamiliar with access more south. Can any one lend some advice? I'm from shore. Thanks!

The river is way up right now. I'm sure you could hook a few in certain areas, eddy's but I'd give it a couple days to go down. The river is rippin pretty good dude!
