Hit Prospertown Lake Saturday Afternoon from shore with oldest Son. We tried bait with no success. Switched to lures and got one Brookie each. Weather was windy and cold. Went back late Sunday Afternoon. Threw Castmasters and Rapalas for seven Trout between us . We also had 5 small Pickerel and 2 5" bass. We watched a Bald Eagle all afternoon as he flew around and roosted on the other side of the lake. Sunday was much better condition wise as the wind laid down then changed direction. All our Brookies were full of nymphs. Overall fishing was tough for opening weekend. Lures out produced Bait 10 to 1 from what we saw. We will try the Crappie next weekend with the boat.

I've seen that eagle there a couple times in the last week or so. Actually I'm heading over there right now. I've also noticed the trout there are much more receptive to shiny artificials over bait.

Last year was the other way around for us. Most on bait. The water is still cold and the weed growth hasn't taken hold as of yet this year.
