Bass Fishing 4/6

Decided to skip the river as I had a bass itch that needed to be scratched. It was 38 degrees at 6 AM today when I left the house but rolled into the usual spot and got my first 2014 bass which also helped check off the list my first ever NJ bass over 5 LBS. Fish weighed in on the Boga grip just over the 6 LBS mark. Figured that would be it for the day but I added another at 4 LBS a short time later. Not a bad 90 minutes at all before the cold wind kicked up and I called it a day.

Caught both on a jig & plastic.

Nice fatties - great job... did you get a water temp by chance?

Afraid I didn't have a thermometer to get the water temperature. Fish were certainly warmer than the air temperature!
