Tonight, Friday, about 8:00 PM I crossed over the Assumpink Creek bridge on Old Trenton Road. I was dark already, but I don't think I saw any stocking signs nailed up to the trees this year. If so, I believe it would be due to the cut back on stocking due the disease problem.
Also, it would be the 1st time since I lived in the area (45 years) that the stream hasn't been stocked for opening day.

NJ DFW has actually been doing a real good job at keeping the info on their website current with all the changes from the furunculosis outbreak

acabtp-

Thanks for the correction.

As I said it was dark, and I didn't see any posting signs up on the trees.
This is a brand new bridge over the Assumpink which was just completed last month. The whole parking area around the bridge was completely torn up and packed with front-end loaders and other large construction equipment for many months. Perhaps the stocking guys couldn't get in there to put up the posters...or perhaps, I just couldn't see the signs.

I never go out on opening day, so I don't have a copy of the NJ Fish & Game laws phamphlet, but I should have checked on line before I posted the question.

I don't think they put up any new signs this year. The ones I looked at all were from last year.
