Hit the river for an hour and a half to get some more of those stockie Browns. They were there waiting for me again, probably got around 30 on the purple and silver Pins Minnow. Nothing big, 9-12 inches maybe. They are feisty little guys. Can't get enough open water fishing in after this long winter. YEA BUDDY!!!
TIGHT LINEZ!!!:D

Just so you don't get the wrong idea.......there are some catch and release areas for pre-season......but not too many. It was discussed on this forum a few weeks back. Check the boundaries in the compendium. If trout were recently stocked below those boundaries, then it's catch and release until opening day. If you fish within those boundaries you'll be ticketed if you're caught. Where Eddie is fishing is below one of those boundaries. Check the Div of Fish&Wildlife site or just use this forum to ask. That's a nice stretch of stream, Eddie. I'm surprised it was never stocked before. Were there any of the bucket brigade members stocking up for dinner?

I haven't seen anyone try to keep a fish yet in this stretch, thankfully. But did hear that the local PD was kicking people off the river because of a town ordinance. I don't get it! Local PD also found some poachers from what I'm hearing this morning, not sure where, but on the same river. Hopefully there's a CO in the area to see what's going on. There's definately goin to be anglers on the river once the sun comes out and the rain stops. There's places to get your fix fellas, go get em!!!:)
