Well I was itching by 2:00pm and decided to go back to the mud puddle for a few hours. The action was pretty steady with a two largemouths and a few crappie in about three hours. I should have landed several more fish but unfortunetly the shiners were a little to big and the crappies would bite but couldn't swallow the shiners! DAMN last week I was digging in the bucket for the Jumbo's and today I'm digging for the smallest!!!LOL One thing that amazed me was the water temp was 47 degrees. Water always looks like mud so I guess that helps warm it up. Now that I have been there twice this weekend I have them pretty well dialed in and after making some tackle and bait adjustments I think I'm gonna do pretty well next time.

That's a good point about murky water warming quicker. Never thought of that but its gotta be somewhat true. Nice catch buddy!

Way to get out there and get them buddie, our shinners looked like pin heads yesterday. Can't wait to get back to our mud hole up in clinton. Going to try and get some early stripes this year. Think we got try some new teckniques for the early ones.

You have a nice honey hole there dude. Makes me want to return to my local spots and put a whoopin on some local fish. Maybe at the end of the week I'll visit my local waters. Good catching brotha!!!

Nice job, man. I envy you guys that can take the cold weather. For now, I'll live thru your catches until I can feel the sun on my skin.
