Never fished the passiac before, my son and I scoped out spots looking for pike starting at garfield, totowa, fished under rte 80 overpass and ended up at 2 bridges where son caught really nice, healthy looking and fat bellied small mouth bass. Unfortunately no pike but had a great day out fishing!

nice job! i was out doing the same thing a few weeks ago looking to get into pike. i'm new to freshwater as it is. what were you throwing for them?

Thanks, my son is into catching different species, he really wants a pike. We fished with live shiners, son got smallie with split shots to keep it down.

Ive caught a few nice pike near two bridges on larger repalas. Never got any there on spinner baits. I've had more success on many pike 30"+ on spinner baits near there hawthorne area, down stream of Patterson if you don't mind the garbage on the ground, smh
