Hey Guys,

Took my older brother fishing on Saturday....his first time in YEARS. We hit a little local spot on the PR that i usually go to after work, deeper part of the river in my area. We went out with the idea that we wouldn't really catch anything and we were right for the most part. He switched to worms and just hung out until WHAM, bent rod and drag pulling. After a few minutes on light tackle he pulled in this big guy. Tipped the scales at 8lbs.

Not exactly what we were looking for but my brother's first fish in 2-3 years was a memorable one for sure !

Man, that's a funny looking Pike. LOL, kidding. Carp are being very aggressive lately. It's a good sign of life. Scouted the Passaic by my house yesterday, it's a high brown disaster right now from l the snow melt. Good catch for the non fishermen!!!! YEA BUDDY!!!!!!!!!!!

There's loads of them in there... Once it starts warming up you'll see them rolling, jumping, and clouding up the water everywhere.

Nice job too. Cold water carp!
