Coming back home from college today and was wondering if there's open water at RV yet.

It's a long way from way from being open buddy. Probably 75% of RV is locked up with ice. Coves have 10-12 inches of ice. Deep water has about 7-8 inches. Need to go pretty far south for open water.

Probably 75% of RV is locked up with ice that is a major hurdle in the plan of your fishing tour! Would suggests you to give it a try after 2 to 3 weeks.!

Just checked my fishing log. 2nd weekend in March is typically when I set up the boat and start trolling Round Valley, with water temps being 36-38 degrees. I guess not this year...

Yeah... I checked my log last year and I was fishing RV in open water Feb 7. Didn't even get close to happening this year lol. I might try RV saturday and pray that its open.

theres still a few inches of ice in all the coves, its not anywhere near open yet, probably not even next weekend w the cold night temps. soon tho Id say 10 days and the launch side will open up enuff
