I just attended my first fishing seminar this weekend. I never thought I would, but I did. It was the Canyon Runner seminars out in LI. Very, very informative. If someone decides to offer their productive way to catch fish, why not add that knowledge to your book. It can't hurt.

Same here. You pick up little tricks here and there. Most of the stuff you already know.

I did a few. Pete Barrett and the like.

Sat through plenty myself, as mentioned above learn some new "tricks". Best one was "Crazy Alberto" on surf fishing for bass.

It's not that guys have a lot of balls. I will guarantee that someone in the audience learned something that they didn't know. If you ask me you have a lot of balls implying that said speaker had nothing at all to offer. Now I was not there so I guess it's possible that was the case. but any seminar I have ever attended has always had at least a few things to offer, was everything useful to me..... No but sometimes that's how it goes in seminars

Something I try to live by is to listen to everyone's advice but decide for yourself if you should take it or not because you will be surprised sometimes at the strange places good advice comes from.

I actually went to a Party Boat Tuna fishing seminar once and learned a new trick with Powerpoint but not so much with PB Tuna fishing. You just never know.

Just did a seminar on fluke with bucktailboys at a boat show in Edison. Now speaking in front of large groups isnt my strong point but it was a great show and we had a lot of people love our presentation and mostly because we did hands on explaining. with that being said it does take a lot of ballz to go up on stage and discuss what your presenting....

BB

I'm sure like most of the other 933 people who have viewed your post and the question ARAT asked, I'm not sure what point you're trying to make. Sounds like maybe you attended or heard of a seminar which didn't sit well with you. Before responding, could you do the board a favor and be a little less cryptic about the question your asking or the comment your making. I'm sure everyone would be interested in better understanding the point of your post.

Been a long winter I would have to say the first post was a joke and was to bust balls. Lighten up and get ready to fish

Reely,

Thanks for your reply. The reason I was asking the question is it was my understanding BB's post was cryptically directed at a member of the board whose name isn't important. If that's true and it was as you say to bust someone's balls, that's not the purpose of the fishing reports section of the site. If it's not true, I was just asking BB to clarify his point because I'm sure most people who read it had no idea what he meant.
