I'm giving serious consideration to buying a freshwater license for the first time in many many years to target some trout from opening day through April....just to get some damn fishing in!!!

Do it, do it!!! There's alot of fish to catch when it comes to the fresh. Something to do when you don't have time to be salty. I'm sure you have some freshwater near you that holds some BEASTS!!!!

Quite a few trout stocked lakes and streams near home so I may give it a go for giggles... I think I still have a freshwater rod somewhere in the racks...LOL

Go for the Pike if there are any in your area. Gotta be something good by you. I like Trout fishing, problem is I usually liveline the ones I catch!!!

Closest lake in PA, more than an hour plus and would need a boat to get out at them, unfortunately I don't have a small boat....
