These Jan trout are dedicated to my dad, Elmer Vollenweider 83, who passed away last Sunday. Was given a folded flag from the US Navy and the VFW of Clifton shot off their canon 3X. I had given him a St. Croix fly rod years ago and he hardly ever used it. I retrieved it from his apartment and decided to give it a whirl on the Pequest today. Also photographed this 8 pointer bedded down in my backyard during a heavy snow. This Jan. buck had not shed his antlers yet.

Like many here I'm loving this sport because of my dad--Can't pull into three bridges parking lot without thinking of him showing me how to do it--Sorry for your loss.
