Like most everyone here, I took advantage of the warm weather and took what is likely the last fishing trip of 2013. After considering my options, I decided to see if the pickerel were biting. I definitely made the right choice, as I went to my favorite pickerel pond and absolutely crushed them! I totaled 18 pickerel between 10-20 inches, with most in the 12-15 inch range. I also missed hookups on at least that many. I was there for about 3 hours, and would have stayed longer, but I ran out of slug-gos, which is what the fish were keyed in on.

I love catching pikeral. I always use to catch them while using senkos and fishing for bass. There was one time while fishing for bass I had a pickerel that had to be close to 30 inches follow about a foot away Fromm attack the Senko and when I go to hook it all that happened was the line snapped cause he had his teeth right on the line. But still up there with my favorite fish to catch! Great job in catching them!!

Great video, nothing better then some toothy critters on these winter days. That pond looks great! Is that cedar stained water, I'm assuming it is with it being at Ocean County. Tight Lines!
