View Full Version : Anyone intrested ??? Ice fishing sun?

Was out stoppin around yesterday at one of my early season go to ice spots with the pics and a life jacket on . Ice was good solid two inches thick so im pretty sure its safe to say it will be ready for sat and sun. so what im thinkin is this ill go to the spot tomorrow and sat check on ice conditions and if it looks good wel hit this little honey hole, call it a meet and greet or whatever ud like all i know is im itchin to pull some fish through holes big or small!!!! If you would like to head out sunday and give it a go and catch some fish meet a few guys let me know few things most of the fish in here are pickeral, largemouth mouthbass, and some jumbo perch, for years i been going here and catchin and release them all id like to keep it that way i dnt mind takin a few guys just no one bucket brigade related😁 so far looks like myself and the ever so famous fasteddie lol so whos intrested? Iceehot/ mitch?,get a net? Hmmmmmmmm ????

Mike....I would love to go but weekends are tough .....have previous plans anyhow for this weekend at least.........definitely though I'll make a day in the future to go ......two inches of ice is a bit scary for me...I was out there today......1/2 the river was ice.....Saw jrock and his cousin while fishing..had some laughs...always good meeting new guys, esp from this board......Ice covered half the river and had to look for open spots to cast to!!!....my buddy got 2...I hooked alot but didn't land any......fish were active!!!!

I ain't that hardcore Jim.......I had TWO pairs of thermals under my jeans and FOUR shirts under my fleece lined windproof jacket...and THREE pairs of socks on my feet.......I hate the cold, but I prepare....I ain't freezing for no fish!!!!

If I gotta wear that much I'd rather stay in. I prefer a lil cold over too many layers.

hence my mention of neoprene waders! it's like being a seal in the cold!

I was totally comfortable Seth.....We stayed 5 hours yesterday and didn't feel the cold and fished like a madman the whole time, very comfortably

Hey there. Sounds like a blast. I've never ice-fished but would love to meet up either this time around or another if that's cool. I promise to take a crash course at the Google School of Ice Fishing between now and then so I'm not totally clueless. Hit me up with the details when/if they come together.

Lol, this post is from last week. Mikey, Alex and myself fished a small lake this past Sunday. We caught some fish, 9 pickeral and a crappie.
