Look at the codes they gave you on your failed slip ....then loom up the codes for u model year and make , to find out the problem ....fix the problem and drive the car for 100 miles or so to reset the codes

Sam since the only thing they check now a days is if the car has a check engine light on or a bad gas cap.. will have to fix the issue causing the CEL to be on... then complete a drive cycle... It has to reset the readyness,, then just go back to the inspection station and just get it checked again.. no need to pay to have it inspected..

Send me a PM with year model make engine and what codes it failed for.. ill point u into the right direction..
