Last Meet and Greet of 2013 and I can't think of a better forum. Leave the rods and reels, live bait and boats behind. Just have to sit down and drink kawfee and eat donuts. Starts at 10am.

As per page 7 of the NJ Freshwater Fishing Digest:

Come and share your views and recommendations for the future of freshwater fisheries in New Jersey and learn about current research, management and fish culture activities !
The forum at the Hackettstown will include a tour of the fish production facilities.
For more info or to pre register (helpful, but not required) please call 908-236-2118 or send an e mail to njfwfish@earthlink.net . E mails should include name, address, phone number and number of people attending.

See you there :) E mail address corrected, thanx.

Hey Andy, I'll most likely be heading down there with a buddy of mine. Will send you an email this week. What kind of things can we expect to see taking a tour of the hatchery as I've never been to one myself.

I won't be getting your e mail but Fish and Game will. I'm just trying to rally the troops, this is good stuff. The first one I went to there were 12 people in the audience and about 7 biologists, I thought it pretty sad that the turn out was so low. I make it a point to go every year now.

See ya there. I usually make both the north and south jersey forums, but often can't make it to Pequest in Feb for the trout meeting. Still I generally get the same info from Pat and/or Lisa at the S. Jersey forum 2 weeks later.

I'll be there... The Hackettstown hatchery is really cool, I've been there a number of times for different events. Craig and the boys really do a great job. Most likely they will give a brief tour of the building where they hatch and raise the fry and some of the outside ponds / raceways. The meeting will most likely be in the original 100 yr old hatchery building. Add in the deer, birds and other wildlife there and that place is like a wildlife sanctuary.

The email address is njfwfish@earthlink.net the "f" was left out on Andys original post. I found the address online in the NJ Freshwater Fishing Digest Digital edition the forum date is listed on page 7 or 8 at the bottom. Here is the link http://www.eregulations.com/newjersey/fishing/freshwater/pageflip/.

Hope this helps and look forward to seeing you there.

Share your views and recommendations for the future of freshwater fisheries research and management with NJDEP Division of Fish and Wildlife biologists at the Freshwater Fisheries Forum this Saturday, December 7 at 10 a.m. The forum will be at the Hackettstown State Fish Hatchery in Warren County; a southern forum will be held in February.

This year's topics will include a fish health discussion by Fish Pathologist Dr. Jan Lovy. His presentation will include the furunculosis disease outbreak at the Pequest Trout Hatchery and its current status. Results from 2013 field sampling will also be presented.

Anglers are invited to ask questions and comment on any aspect of the division's fisheries management programs. By providing input, the public can help guide the development of freshwater programs and the regulations which govern them.

For more information, including directions and how to pre-register (requested but not required), please visit http://www.njfishandwildlife.com/news/2013/fshforumnorth13.htm on the Division's website.
