Was getting sick of the same old spots every time i fished this river and decided to explore new areas. Found a dirt pull off past a bridge and walked downstream past initial shallows into deeper stretches. threw out a spinner in the meantime but no luck. tied on a trusty TM and it was game on. caught my legal limit in less than an hour but only kept 2 for the dinner table. by the end of the day it was 9 total, 7 bows and 2 brooks. plus some sunnies/smallies. dropped 2 other trout. at one point i caught 3 fish in 3 casts :D they were so aggresive they were blowing up on my bobber as if it were a fly. next time im bringing small poppers!

damn dude on the t- magnet? I've been struggling to get fish on the line with the TM at the south branch lately. Based on the reports today though it seems like everything fired up today. Must be the cold coming in. I know last year my best luck with the magnet was in November thru December. Nice report man good catching!
