Terrible! Looks like some 1980's ill concieved idea of bank stabilzation.

Maybe this will sound like a stupid question to some. Im unfamiliar with this river and Im curious as to why there are so many tires judging by several posts I have read.

Its not just the Raritan, but the Passaic and the Hackensack too.
Maybe we as fishermen, who spend all are time fishing these areas can make a difference by not taking it anymore and getting the NJ DEP and others involved.
