NICE Raritan river striped bass 10/17/13:

EPIC battle on the UL and 4lb. test line. Had me shaking in my waders running down the river. What a great fight, one of those fish where you keep saying to yourself "just let me get an eyeball on this fish" and I finally did after about 15min. Snapped a quick pic and got her back in the water. I was fishing no where near the falls :D
Measured my rod, fish came out to about 32"

That is fantastic! I've fished the Raritan my whole life and it is really nice to see stripers holding past April. This is a sign of great things to come for the Raritan River and the fisherman who know how to fish it. Nice catch! Must have been an EPIC battle. WOW!

4lb test, WOW, that's just insane! Must of been a nail biter getting that beast in. I can just imagine the battle. Sick catch!!! Another quality fish from the mighty RARITAN!!!! Congrats on an AMAZING fish Andy!!!!

A 28 inch Striper averages between 8-11 lbs. Andy puts this fish around 32, this fish is between 12-15 lbs easy!!! Especially in the fall. I can't believe Andy landed that fish on 4 lb test, simply AMAZING!!!!
