Well first of all I want to thank everyone who did come out today! I hope you all enjoyed yourself's and it was great to put some names and faces together. Facing some adverse conditions we went on with it without a hitch. It was truly a great time for me personally. What a HUGE change in the fishing from yesterday!
Today worked out perfectly, every one was able to launch with no problems at all, i donned my waders and personally assisted in the launching of all boats to ensure no boats were damaged with my boys working the ropes on the dock and shuffling boats around to get everyone in safely.
The wind was pretty stiff today but the fish didn't seem to care. After we all launched and got our bait we split up a little in search of the illusive Hybrid Striper. I fished with Jeremy aka Jigman13 in my boat "GetANet"and he proceeded to lump me up today with several nice fish! I managed to catch some fish as well but today was about The NJF Guys, hoping to get them on some fish!
Congrats to Mike and his cousin on their first hybrids and Bass Pilot on his Big Fish of the day, a beautiful 6 1/2 lb'er! I think every one caught something today. There was about 20 hybrids caught plus some crappies, smallmouth, and pickerel as well.
All in all i think today was one of the better Meet & Greet's as far as catching fish goes! I hope everyone who came out enjoyed themselves and learned a little today as well!
NEXT Year it will be even better!!!
AND A HUGE THANK YOU GOES OUT TO JIMMY AND EDDIE !!!
Who assisted me in getting this off the ground and making it such a great success!!!!!!
Any one with some pics please post em' up!!!!

Cant say enough about the commaraderie shown at today's meet and greet. From Getanet's climbing in the water to make sure everyone launched safely to JimmytheGreek's offer to mark up with him. As novices we really appreciated it. Learned a lot today and will definitely pass it forward when we get a chance. While we caught no hybrids today, but we did manage a nice small mouth. Us salt suckers sure enjoyed some time on the fresh water. Thanks again Jiggy and BRM

WINDBURN and WIPERS!!! Great to see the fellas and do some fishing. Thanx for coming out guys! As far as M-N-GREETS go this was the BEST when it came to catching. Dale your the man, thanx for getting it off the ground.

Fished with Jimmy the Greek today, if you want Hybrids, he might be the best man for the job on the BIG LAKE. He has everything if you come unprepared. We had a slowwwwww start in the morning but caught up and WHOOPED some ARSE in the afternoon. Boated somewhere around 12 Hybrids between the 2 of us. Some Schoolies and some quality fish, nothing huge. Consistent bursts of action got us back in the game. Almost had a few double headers but I muffed a hookset. First time fishing with the Herring on LH, I learned alot today and will be expanding my arsenal.

Other catches included a couple Smallies by a few guys. A White Perch and a Slime Dart by yours truly. Lots of action out there today, just had to move around and deal with the snotty ENE wind that just wouldn't quit.

All in all a GREAT day with GREAT GUYS! I'LL DO IT AGAIN ANYTIME!!! BEST MEET-N-GREET thus far when it comes to catching!

Thanx again fellas, good to put names with faces.

AS ALWAYS, TIGHT LINEZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D

Dale, thanks much for putting this together. Although Tom and I didn't get any stripes we had a great time scouring a new lake for them. We did manage a couple nice crappie and picked up some valuable fishing tips. Thanks to Jimmy, Eddie and Dale for sharing there knowledge and trying to put us on some fish, but you have to understand I'm stubborn sometimes, I like to do it my way. Good time guys!!!!!:)

I want to thank the pros that came out and helped me and my cousin catch our first hybrids. They were not big but i'm hooked I cant wait to go again!! Mine was atleast 14 in. and my cousin's was maybe little bit smaller but when you hear the drag ripping out it gets your adrenaline pumping. First time for me on the lake, first time catching a hybrid and first time using a binsky and catching a fish. The hybrid was caught on herring but my crappie and yellow perch were caught on a binsky. My cousin's first time also catching a white perch using a binsky. So thank you guys again and nice meeting you guys can not wait for next year!!

Good to see a bunch of you guys still made it out. I wish I made a different choice and went. I spent 4 hours fishing on Greenwood lake for walleyes and only 1 perch was caught when I switched over to fish bass around docks. There were about 10 boats fishing while I was there, I didn't see one single fish caught besides my perch. The wind made the morning bitter cold too, after 4 hours and only 1 fish, it was time for hot food and cold beer. At least you guys that hit Hopatcong had a better day.

Awesome time! Dale, thanks for the bow seat on Get A Net! As always, good times. My face is wind burned but the sound of a wiper rippin' drag off my ultra lite set up was WELL worth the chapped face LOL. Eddie and Jimmy--thanks for the endless waterfall of knowledge--and the hysterics. I'm sure good times were had by all!

Here's a few pics. Dale's wiper and a SMB by-catch which hit and headed for Cabo. And a few of the wipers I nabbed.

GOOD TIMES is all I can say. Was great meeting u guys and putting names with faces, glad it turned out good and the fish at least woke up a little from saturdats nightmare conditions. Wind was HOWLING with 30+ at times, my batteries got a good workout this weekend lol. We just about owned the lake today, there was as many NJF'ers as there was others, lake was dead with the water levels

Longest day fishing for me this year, was in the water by 7am and eddie, dale, jeremy, and I all left around 4 for the launch. Taught ol Eddie boy a thing or 2 about herring and wipers, EVERY fish we caught came on a downline pinned to the bottom, fish were holding so tight u could not rly tell they were fish they looked like humps in the bottom. We got on one HUGE baitball with fish feeding (pic in eddies post) and we worked it w bait and binskys for over an hour w only a crappie each, at least we broke the morning skunk there. We found fish in unlikely spots, we spent half the day searching and wishing instead of fishing, but we kicked some ass in the end and were high hooks I beleive. Good laughs and BSing w the fellas too, thats the best part of fishing w the fellas

Congrats to Dale (getanet) for a great meet+greet, he deserves all the credit, and ALOT of new guys got their first fish, thats what I like to see. Hope to see more of you guys in the future, fall feedbags are definitely on after this weeks weather, its only getting better......tight lines

Had a great time and was fortunate enough to get out there thanks to Jim. Weather was a little tough but that's fishing. Event went off without a hitch thanks to Eddie Jimmy Dale and everyone else who keeps these meet and greets exciting. Got my PB at 6.5lbs yesterday and Jim also landed his PB at 4.5lbs. Cant wait to do it again. I attached some pictures of our better ones.

Good stuff guys. 2 PB's in one day for Jim and Steve, that's AWESOME!!! It's only going to get better as long as you can find a way to launch!!! HMMMM!!!

Definitely expanding my arsenal by using a little bit more live bait! I soaked in alot of knowledge when it comes to fishing herring. Looking forward to getting out there in November somehow!

in one spot close to where u jigged ur eye w eddie we were in 27fow downlining 26ft. Close to elba pt on the channel side we pounded them in 29-30fow w downlines at 29ft. they were all bottom hugging, but they wouldnt touch a binsky. Now I know how some of the guys were catching them on chicken livers bottom fishing

Jimmy nailed it those chicken livers seemed to do well. A couple guys next to us had constant action on livers, but all seemed somewhat smaller fish. I did get hit hard on the binsky a few times though pretty much bottom bouncing but couldn't hook up.

Mylate report was undecided the night b4 my buddy has a 18 starcraft deep v so he bailed out so with everything against me decided to hit the surf knowing my only option was a rental after 2fish landed and a couple hook ups and bumps. Decided that i was going got there around 5 to a empty parking lot waited around for a while. With nobody around and thought well im here and im fishing grabbeda boat at 6 and headed out first light. Got to my first area trying to tuck away from the wind anchored up on a whim and no fish finder open the live well where my herring should be and sob!!! Nothing!! back to dows! Not a huge deal. Back outand had had a change of heart. Made a few quick drift by the bait lights around the other side first few drifts nothing then a slam hooked up with a schoolie made one more and a bite missed decided to anchor up and chum well boy did i anchor on some fish the mother load of perch swiped a dozen herring on me in minutes droped a jig down nothing put a herring on fish on screwed up fish lol poped around here and there had 2 more hook ups on sandworms. Went On the troll to kill some time landed two pickerl amd a 3lb large mouth home for bed by 4.
