Went north to the streams off Lake O. I started with hitting the Little Sandy on Wed. afternoon and hit some Cohos. I love that stream and there was no one there. Water was just right and hit a few Kings also
Here is one of the Cohos caught

Started Thursday morning hitting the South Sandy where on Wed. it was on FIRE. Got there and noticed very few cars, the reason was, low water and few fish so I headed back into town and hit the Salmon river just above Pineville and hit some nice Kings, everything this week was caught on my 9 wt. fly rod and 12 lb leader. Thursday evening was great with over a dozen Kings LANDED and many more lost. I did have one big Steel head on and as he charged me I couldn't reel fast enough and off he went. Here are a couple of the Kings

On Friday morning I fished just below the trestle and landed over another dozen kings and lost another steel head before making the ride home. I was very surprised that with the Salmon River Black with Salmon it wasn't packed. There was plenty of room to fish and everyone was catching.
I will be heading up again after Nov. 1 for Steel head and if anyone is interested in meeting my up north, let me know.
I hope you all get to make at least one trip up north this year.

You missed the main run of hoe's on Little Sandy! They came in on Tue midday. We caught the last hour of it and it was phenominal! Literally hundreds of coho in mass migration up that little creek and not another soul there but my four buds and myself. Needless to say we limited on hoe's in that hour, and as quick as it began it was over as the school continued upstream. We could've caught up to them in the headwaters areas the following day (Wed) but opted for hualing a limit of hoe's out of S. Sandy instead, part of the reason you found few fish when you hit it on Thu. The other part of the equation is that it just didn't come up that high from Mon's precip so the run was quite small.
Overall though it's good to hear you found enough to play with in both creeks. Guess you didn't make it up to N. Sandy. The meadows above Rt 3 were fairly well populated from the elevated water levels.
