I was throwin a 4" swim shad at some down trees picking off decent sized yellow perch. I hook into a 6"er and once I got it to the surface something big came up from underneath swipes, misses, and scared the poop out of me. I immediately hit the thumb bar and let it back out and a split second later this bucket mouth comes back and crushed the perch. I got em both, side by side on the same hook! haha, glad i bought a net last week. The bass weighed in at a little over 3lbs around 21"

That's freakin' awesome....That don't happen often for sure. Maybe you gotta start throwin' them 6" Perch Colored Swim Baits like them Californy fisher guys do! :)

Nicely Done!

Ha! I kept the perch on the hook and tossed it back out, it's mouth was so ripped apart it came unbuttoned. Had a missing eye at that point also.

I witnessed this craziness in person and it is no hoax. Perfect hooksets on BOTH fish. Fish was weighed on both mine and Eddies digital scales at 3lbs11oz, not including the unlucky Perch lol.

Every spot we fish, this guy nails big bass. Very good fisherman, he deserved a "Holy Sh*t" moment. Glad I was there to witness and photograph :) .

That was fun to see. Good time out there. You the man Scott! Best catch of the evening. I'm ready to do it again, perhaps after a little rain.

Skunk, Barry and myself were busy with a Crappie Marathon while Scowardnj was bailing Bass and perch combo catches. Probably got around 100 Crappie that evening. Not big, 7-12 inchers. Good time at AREA 51!!!:D

NICE

Hooked a bluegill a few years ago at Farrington on the Fly rod, while bring him in a LMB at about the same size inhales the fish. Reeled both in, extracted the bluegill and released both fish.

.

I've had bass attack fish when I was reeling them in. In all but one case, the hook wasn't big enough to hook both fish and I ended up just pulling the small fish out of the bass's mouth.

In fact, the biggest bass I ever saw in New Jersey (probably like six pounds) attacked a big sunfish I was reeling in. It grabbed the sunfish and held it in its mouth with just the tail hanging out. It looked like a St. Bernard mouthing a chew toy. I counted to ten and set the hook hard. The bass felt like it was hooked and started to fight, but then the sunfish popped out of the bass's mouth and the bass swam away.

That's excellent!!!......Saw this on my facebook yesterday and was like...WTF?.....That shows you how these fish feed.......so don't think the bait you throw is ever too big.....Nice work and a catch to remember
