I'm thinking of going to LH tomorrow for the first time, I have an 18 ft boat and was wondering which ramp to use? I'll be coming off of rt 80, any advice on what to fish for or what is biting? I'll be fishing solo, thanks.

I've only fished LH a few times but I always launched at the state park on the south west end of the lake. It's a nice ramp not crowded at this time of the year and the fee is $12 which i think is less than the other places.

As for what to fish for and how there are many guys that can better help you than me...But look up anything posted here by jimmythegreek....if you check out the thread about the Hybrid M&G at the top of this forum you will find some great info.

Good luck and let us know how you do.

Wayne, I would check lake conditions before you go. They started the 5 year draw down a couple weeks ago and the lake was already down a foot as of last Saturday and I heard weeds were matted to the surface and floaters were a problem. I'm sure it's plenty fishable, but make sure you get some solid info before you go. You can launch from Lee's County Park and buy herring at Dow's. Fishing herring off the main lake points is probably your best bet if it's your first time. You can catch anything from crappie, hybrid stripers, walleye, bass, etc. on live bait this time of year.

Curious how you made out.

Changed my plan, hearing about the water situation wasn't to sure I should go solo. I went to beltzville out my way and did well on smallies and tons of pickerel. I'm definately gonna be at the hybrid meet and greet, will be solo there but at least there will be help if needed.

I plan on being there early and lending a hand to any who need it. I'm sure others will be doing the same. Hope to see ya there!
