Hey Guys,

Hit the river after work with a few new lures suggested by some folks on here. Spinners and spoons weren't working so I switched to the husky jerk and landed this little guy. As little as he may be he is my PB at 2lbs.

Thanks for the tips guys !!

.

I was going to try the lures suggested on the NJFishing forum, but the stores were already sold out!

-Just kidding. :)

The weather is supposed to be nice this weekend. Hopefully I'll get a chance to spend some time on the water.

nice looking fish... what kind of scale you got? 2# seems pretty optimistic

picture angle kinda sucked, not too good with taking fish selfies. I was estimating based off the size of a friend's fish the other day that came in just over 2lbs. This one was just about the same size, of course I may be off. Will be picking up a scale real soon though, any suggestions?

I just bought a Rapala Digital 50lb (I'm optimistic!) scale from Walmart online for 18 bucks. They have several models to choose from and can ship free to a store or to your house for 5 bucks. Or if you spend over $45 dollars it ships free to your house...so I bought an Ugly Stik Striper Rod for 29.99 just to get the free shipping..HA!... Came in three days. Can't beat the price and it works great.

Keep at it man. That's a good fish. The more you go and learn, the bigger the fish will get. TIGHT LINEZ!!!
