I wasn't expecting much out of the Big R but was treated to 2 nice hybrids and a smattering of pickerel and dink smallies. The bass fought like lunatics when hooked, the smaller one went 19" and the bigger one was 24" and heavy. The Raritan has become one hell of a fishery this year, the only thing not pulled out of there is a sturgeon.

sweet Jebus... you guys are killin' it on the mighty Raritan. Hybrids, pure strain stripers, tigers, smallies, walleyes, LMBs... Awesome stuff.

That 24" must've RIPPED...

It looks like they hit aa feather/maribou jig in chartruese w a black head, Im guessing 1/4oz weight by the looks of it, cant see if theres a trailer

shucker great job, Its hard to beleive there are that many hybrids that escaped spruce run and made it all the way down there, its amazing. The LH hybrids would have spilled into muscanetcong then into the delaware, my buddy has caught many out of lake muscanetcong years ago and Im sure with the last 2 years hurricanes many went over. Its a shame they are sterile, Id love to see them in other bodies of water, they LOVE current and are a great river fish, they love the rippin waters.........GREAT JOB
