Knee Deep Walleye Contest

My son and I are hitting the lake early tomorrow a.m. and we're planning to register in the Walleye contest. Any tips for catching them this time of year?

I think you have to register today for the contest before dows or lakes end closes, dont think u can sign up 2moro. it starts at 5am 2moro and they do that so u dont fish and get a walleye then go sign up. it sucks cause its gonna rain saturday night, so night fishing will only be the diehards and theres a front coming thru, gonna be a crappy tourney. If you happen to see me out there im fishing for sunfish :)

I just looked at the form online....if you mail in it has to be in by today but the entry form says u can do in person til 8am at dows/lakes end. I shoulda just waited til I had an eyeball in the livewell then entered haha
