Scooped GetANet at 6 AM-ish yest and we met up w/ bicey at the ramp around 7 AM-ish up @ Spruce. Trolled hybrids all day and managed a slow to steady pick, finishing with 15 striped-suited wide bodies and couple o' puddy tats of the channel variety. Nothing too large but steady action is better than none! Hit some spots, made some moves and bicey kept us on the fish well throughout the day. Here's a few pics. Great day too. Got a bit of a wash down on the way back to the ramp with the wind kicking up. We took some vids but I havent gotten around to toying with them yet. All fish were pretty much the size of the ones in the 2 images below. I think the largest was like 23" or so. Not sure--bicey and GetANet would know better than me.
Good day guys--good times! Catch em' up!

Nice. I was out there Sunday afternoon, too.
I may have seen you guys. Were you the ones with the red planar boards running alongside your boat?
It got unbelieveably windy Sunday afternoon. It was like kayaking in the breakers at the beach. I figured if I didn't drown after getting swamped by the waves one of those out-of-control sailboats was going to kill me.
I eventually sought refuge from the wind (and sailboats) in the cove by the dam.
I found the fishing to be really slow. The only significant fish I caught that afternoon was a 22" Channel Catfish. I prefer smaller catfish for the pan so I released it.
Slow day on the water for me, but it's still better than being at work.

Hey man... yea, the wind really kicked up later in the day. Wasnt us with the planers, though. Our first channel was prob around 22" or so. Had a meaty gut on it too. The 2nd was short, had a huge head and looked like it swallowed a baseball lol...

Hmmmm...maybe it was the same fish.
That poor catfish getting hooked a second time would be like, "AHHH! Again?!?! I hate my life. I wish I was born a trout!".

Dude you wish you had a silo! lmao.... good times, good fishing, better stories lol. I was glad I could put you guys on some fish and catch them. The best fish of the day were the first 6 in the early spot.....20-23 inches. The second spot produced fish that were 16 to 20. Good to see those smaller fish coming along.

Hilarious day on the water with you two! Great action on some smaller fish than usual but they were very fat and absolutely DID NOT wanna come to the net!!!! If we had more bait we would have caught more but that's the way it goes and 15 is not too shabby!!! Best day of the year as far as numbers. They were hitting like freight trains!!!!!!
Maybe next week we can bring her with us!!!
(had to be there!!!!)
