Been a busy couple of weeks here at Garone Custom Rods.
First up is a sweet Phenix Hybrid PHD 809XH-B tuna jig/ tile rod for Rich at Jersey Hooker. Matches up perfectly with the Maxels Rich has in the shop and will make a perfect pair for tuna jigging and tiles. Stop by the shop and check it out, unless someone else already snagged it up!

Also did this rebuild of this Magnaflex tuna rod for PAfireguy. He will be using it on the Gambler NJfishing tuna trip this September. I refinished the wooden butt, blank, replaced the cork and repaired the reel seat, stripped the guides, rewrapped them and added a sweet feather inlay to the butt section. I hope it kills some tuna for you in a couple weeks Joel!

Last up is a set of 5 Black Hole Giant rods I built for Kilsong. These are on their way up to the Cape as we speak and will be on a 60' Viking paired up with Accurate 50's to fight giant Bluefin on standup tackle. These are built with Winthrop Tool guides, and Aftco #2 curved butts. Even with the roller guides and aluminum butts they are very light weight and extremely powerful yet easy on the angler.
