Capt.Darren Berry spent a night out at the Hudson Canyon. The night chunk bite was super duper slow and didn't get a touch. Up on the troll in the morning the guys landed a nice White Marlin and shortly there after came to tight to a Big Eye. The Big Eye hit Islander Ballyhoo combo BLK/Purp. Darren was relieved when the fish was gaffed and was hoping to put another few in the box as he marked a ton of fish and the other boat in the area came tight a few minutes later. Unfortunately or fortunately his fares had to get back to the dock as my brother would have kept them there for at least another 12 hours. The Big Eye weighed in at 145lbs.
Dr Bill Rhee, spent a couple days at the Hudson and had some productive fishing. He and his crew were able to troll up 10 Longfin, 2 White Marlin and landed a Mako. According to Bill the majority of the Tuna were caught on skirted and naked ballyhoo.
