How do you catch most of your fluke? On the teaser hook or bucktail?
Why do you think this happens?

Most of mine (75% or more) are caught on the teaser hook but my 2 largest
inhaled the bucktail.

way more on the teaser & the biggest fish I have seen this year as well have been on the teaser, atomic turkey coloed to be exact. I think it looks like a fish chasing another fish & the fluke are a$$holes & wanna steal the bucktails "meal" also my director got a 8.7 on a teaser from you guys on the Longshot 3 weeks ago

Bucktail, since I only fish the bucktail, no teaser.

I think bucktails are likely to be hit when dropped right on top of the fish but when the fish are farther away the teasers are easier for them to see.
I also think the giants are more prone to hitting the BT (My 10lbr was on the BT) because they are much more lethargic and are less likely to expend the energy to chase a teaser. Just my opinion

Most of my keeper fish have been on the teaser (Gulp), but all the bigger ones are on the BT (this year so far 5 from 6.0 - 7.6 pounds).

Overwhelming majority of the time my fish are taken on the teaser. However, this year for whatever reason almost all my keepers have come on the bucktail

Every time I go bucktailing for sea robins and skates, I end up catching those pesky fluke on my teaser rig:D

For me I think most are on the teaser because of its proximity in the strike zone. I like to always drop back and feel bottom with the BT, so that leaves the teaser in a good position to be spotted by the fish in the strike zone . I will however say my biggest fluke come on an a inhaled BT as mentioned above.

Most my fish come on teaser ( GULP ) ... I believe cause its in strike zone more ... if i could keep bucktail off bottom say more i catch more on bucktail
if you would have bucktail never touch the bottom but be jig it about 1 to 2 ft off bottom would catch on bucktail more

Teaser,12" to 3 way/or dropper to 12" to jig to 24 inch rear teaser/meat bait, the jig is a weight with a hook, that sometimes even gets eaten!

I have caught my personal best on the Parker Pete a nice fat 12 lber last year and quite a few close to the double digit mark this year. For whatever reason regardless of water temp or the size of the fish. I have been catching the majority of my fish on the teaser tied only about 8 to 12 inches above the bucktail using pink and white grubs. Tight lines to all.

This year 70% teaser - 30 % bucktail with the biggest fishies hitting the bucktails - also the 6 to 12 inch teaser above the buacktail seems to have been working best for me this year
Pink-Shine , White/Glow and Nuclear chicken gulp have been doing very well for me this year also
