View Full Version : 23lb Cod weighed in ! Nice FISH!!!

Jeff Snyder stopped by yesterday with what we are calling the best fish of the season. Sure, we have weighed in 40lb bass.... but this one is by far the top dog so far! We dont see them like this in NJ anymore! Shallow water too!

Nice baccalla. I'm hearing a non sponsor boat in Brooklyn, did well yesterday over 200 Cod from 5-28lb range. I wish some of our boats here would target them. Their should be some Cod on the Offshore wrecks. It is what it is.

There is a local boat that runs for them same results , albeit runs limited trips all summer .
last time i was on board fish up tp 25 #'s ,however not 200 maybe fifty + 12 guys ! Local charter sponsor Last Lady !
Plenty of cod with right numbers !!:)

Hmmm, an NJFISHING summer cod/wreck trip, I bet Ralph would be in to that...

Ralph has been running those trips and is doing very well. I fish religiously with his deckhand Nicky. They did very good on the last trip, which was this past Monday. Was also on the boat today and heard all about it.

Capt Ralph last lady all the way
Ralph is my mako mentor!!!! I fished with him for years..... Learning all about them. Great fisherman all around.
